Chaplain Message
This year our theme has been ‘Faith is an encounter we must do what Jesus does encounter others.’ During Masses, liturgies, retreat days and prayers we have used scripture such as the Good Samaritan and the woman at the well to explore how Jesus encounters others and use his good example in the encounters we have every day. At times we have had to ask for forgiveness for when we maybe haven’t made positive encounters with others and taken time to think about how we are reflection of Jesus in all that we do. All of this reflection over year has helped us as a community to understand the importance of positive encounter and also that we are Jesus’s feet on earth.
This half term we had the opportunity to celebrate all of our students’ achievements in our Serviam assemblies and end of year celebrations. You should each be every proud of all you have achieved and how you have used your gifts and talents to live out Serviam in all you do.
Overall this year we have raised £ £12,678.40 for numerous charities as well as collecting Christmas gifts, donations for the Ukraine and sanitary products for Zimbabwe. This is an amazing achievement, and true sign of Serviam. Well done.
As we come to the end of our school year, we thank God for all we have received and all we have achieved. We celebrate our achievements and give thanks for our loving community.
May I take this opportunity to wish you all a peaceful and relaxing summer.
Miss Murphy
