Why Ursuline High School?
There is strong evidence* of the merits of all-girls education and Ursuline High School is a great example of how girls really succeed within this environment.
Every aspect of our school – from the classroom and academic programme to the sports field, and to our personal development and well-being programme - is designed with the needs of girls at its heart.
Students are encouraged to live out our Ethos of Serviam, using their gifts and talents for the benefit of others, and to ensure they become the best version of themselves.
As well as enabling our students to achieve outstanding results, our mission is to develop students to be people of action who can make a difference in the school and beyond, who are kind, forgiving, generous of spirit and persevering.
It’s an exciting time to join the school and be part of the Ursuline family: the transformative changes introduced and embedded by Ms Waters over the past two decades cover every aspect of the school and whilst we are sad to see Ms Waters retire at this end of this academic year, the school is in an incredibly strong position: Mr Kelly, who has been with the school for 20+ years in total, and Associate Headteacher for the past 5 years, brings a deep understanding and appreciation of the Ursuline’s ethos and has the energy, experience, skills, and vision to lead the school, sustaining and building upon Ms Waters’ legacy.
